I'm not a cool mom.

Yesterday was such a rainy day. I had to go to Jane's elementary school to fill out some paper work.

*sidenote*I am no longer homeschooling Mary due to some circumstances that came up! But, since we moved into a new neighborhood, being able to send her to this elementary was a blessing in disguise!**

Any who, as we were walking out of the school building, we were asked if we wanted to say Hello to Jane, since she was in the cafeteria eating lunch. Of course mommy wanted to say HI to her kindergartner!! So, I lugged the stroller, Emerson, and Mary into the cafeteria to see her.
Jane to my surprise didn't see us walk in, so I snuck behind her and tapped her shoulder. She turned around.

You would have thought the child was looking at a ghost. She quickly turned back around looking into her lunch box with a serious face and said "what are you doing here?"
I told her I was filling papers out in the office and she replied just as serious "oh okay, just go."
Of course me, being the mommy I am, proceeded to say "HI JANE'S CLASS!!" They all waved back enthusiastically while Jane sunk into her lunchbox even farther!
I decided I tortured my daughter enough and kissed her on the cheek, whispered love you and walked away.
Once we were out of the lunch room I started laughing hysterically because at that moment of disgust in Jane's eyes, I was no longer cool and I was okay with it, along with the fact that I found it beyond amusing!

P.S. I am so sorry mom for all the times I thought you were so uncool, but for the record I love that you are so uncool now!
