Pollyanna syndrome

My mom has always said she likes to find the good in people, similar to Pollyanna. Whether she likes it or not, it's not always a good quality to have. She always told me I wear my heart on my sleeve, another quality that isn't always a good one. Seems pretty negative to disagree with her wanting to find the good or people or loving everyone regardless of their actions but let me finish.
She recently learned that it is sometimes hard or impossible to find the good in people, including the ones she loves...like ALOT. 
She and a few others recently dealt with a pretty heavy situation involving people they love and the outcome wasn't pretty. It was quite ugly! Not the first time my family has dealt with some ugly situations but it affected someone that has NEVER  put herself first and always done what is right regardless of the situation.
Back to my point I am trying to make..when someone lives their life always finding the good and overlooking the truth behind the good..it can make for a nasty realization that some people are NOT good. Sad fact at 59, considering this person she has always tried to find the good in has always been the person my mom finally sees, in her truest form. 
On that note, I wasn't going to blog but she is pretty heartbroken and as a daughter, I owe her this post. I'm not sure if my mom or the others will ever find a solution to this situation but thankfully we have something else to find the good in..Christ and he is ALWAYS good even at OUR worst. 
**To my mom, thank you for teaching me to find the good in people and to wear my heart on my sleeve because I know that whenever I come across a REALLY good person, I hold them even closer to my heart or sleeve as you call it.
**To my aunt Teresa, thank you for being you because quite honestly, we need more of YOU in the world and I don't think you realize what a treasure you are in my life and everyone else's life you touch on a daily basis.

    Good woods ALi,thank you,I always loved that DISNEY movie,and there movies always shows good morals in people,not the world we live in now,we need more happy endings to bad things that happen to good people,and hopefully we will go to that happy place,im doing my best to get there.LOVE MOM.

Happy Valentines Day! and some tips too

Just some ideas for a fantastic and budget friendly Valentines Day! 1. Buy roses at the grocery store instead of a florist. They make great arrangements for great prices! 2. Order a heart shaped pizza from Donatos . I heard Papa Johns is doing the same thing this year!! Take your pick, the hubs and I look forward to a heart shaped from Donatos Pizza every year. 3 . Rent a movie and snuggle on the couch and make home made popcorn. Cheaper than one movie ticket and more romantic too! 4. Make a romantic dinner at home. Spaghetti, garlic bread, and salad is cheap and delicious! Present it with heart shaped plates and red napkins. 5. This is the most important tip!! Make sure to tell the person you are spending the holiday with how much they mean to you! At the end of the day, all I really wanted was an extra special I love you and to know I am loved.
