Jr. Worship, Joy, and memory verses..Oh my!

This has been a super long week. Long in good and bad ways. So many new roads to travel down but some of them I just can't brag about yet. The blessings come down as the prayers go up...   It's funny how much that song means to you even as an adult.   Well, the beginning of the week was just crazy! Sunday was so perfect and beautiful and then came the crazy storms! It was mostly amazing though to be in the auditorium at Spring Road with some of the people I always assume I will spend eternity with while tornado sirens go off..While we just kept singing his praises! I loved listening to kids get excited to choose the songs out of the song books, and as discouraged as we get as adults, looking to those kids makes everything seem so much easier. By the way, I do not own rights to this Awesome photo!

Dear Adeline,

I am concerned about your eating habits. Dust, vaccuum hoses, leaves, and mud from my shoe are not nutritious choices. I know the pears in a jar taste gross to you but gagging and barfing up mud sounds way less appealing..Let's try to stick with just eating food from now on! I'm not a cool mom.

But, since we moved into a new neighborhood, being able to send her to this elementary was a blessing in disguise!** Any who, as we were walking out of the school building, we were asked if we wanted to say Hello to Jane, since she was in the cafeteria eating lunch. Of course mommy wanted to say HI to her kindergartner!! So, I lugged the stroller, Emerson, and Mary into the cafeteria to see her. Jane to my surprise didn't see us walk in, so I snuck behind her and tapped her shoulder. She turned around. You would have thought the child was looking at a ghost. She quickly turned back around looking into her lunch box with a serious face and said " what are you doing here? " I told her I was filling papers out in the office and she replied just as serious " oh okay, just go ....

Adoption

The hubs and I were at dinner last night with Jane and Adeline while Mary attended a birthday party. Ryan and I were talking and he asked me when he can adopt Jane. In the past we discussed waiting because of her dads' obligations. So when this came up in conversation, I was a little hesitant to bring it up again. So I said we can look into it and see what we actually have to do. Another reason I wanted to wait was because of her heritage. I wanted her to have the opportunity to learn about it and I need her birth father for that. So, the more I thought about it and as I think about it today, I am researching the steps to adoption and want to talk to her dad about creating some sort of scrap book or symbolic family tree for her about the Jindal heritage. That way if she ever gets curious or just needs a sense of security I can't offer, she can look at it. I guess I'm curious to know what you all think...so leave a comment. Regardless, Ryan wants Jane to be his daughter and ...
